Welcome to my blog! On this blog I hope to share with you my successes and failures inspired by vintage clothes, specifically MCM and 1960's. I love the design and tailoring of these clothes from the structured 1950's to the loose and casual 1960's. As a Gen Xer, I grew up in some of these styles and the worn patterns are a testament to that as our mother made a lot of our clothes when I was a child.
I
have her stash of vintage patterns and her storage box - a repurposed
ammo case from my father's Army days. Over the years I have collected
and bought additional vintage patterns and not so vintage (think 1980's
and 1990's when I was learning to sew).
